The Crysis series revoles around a group of military protagonists from various special forces teams, most of them are equipped with hi-tech nanosuits. These nanosuits offer immense benefits to the wearers, including enhanced physical strength, speed, defense, and cloaking abilities. The protagonists of these different games face off against hostile North Korean soliders, heavily armored mercenaries, and a race of technologically advanced aliens known as the Ceph, a recently awakened species who arrived on earth millions of years ago. The series has been praised for its milestones in graphical designs.
For previous games in the Sly series:

The game takes place in the year 2047, with protagonist Alcatraz still occupying the late Prophet's Nanosuit 2.0. The game's setting, New York City is overrun with thick vegetation and the remains of the Dead Ceph technology. However, a large and imposing NYC Liberty Dome, created by CELL, appears over the city. The Nanodome's purpose is to protect the city from any remaning Ceph forces and to prevent any humans from entering. The Nanodome also attempts to cleanse the Ceph pollution that has run rampant in the city. Alcatraz will fight his way through forces and find the true purpose behind the Nanodome.

The protagonist of Crysis 3, Alcatraz was also the main character of Crysis 2. Unlike Nomad, the protagonist from Crysis, Alcatraz cannot speak in-game due to damaged lungs and vocal chords. He is 47 years old in Crysis 3. Alcatraz originally enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and specializes in covert recon missons. Pyscho, a former British SAS operative, helps Alcatraz on his missions in the game. Previous protagonist Prophet will also make a return in some way, though since he was killed in the previous game, it leaves a lot of question still unanswered.
