Recovery is the second level of Crysis. In this level, you must infiltrate and rescue one of the archaeologists, as well as recovering some intel on the way.

In this level, you must make your way to a village that has been fortifies by the KPA. Inside the school building, you will find a hostage from the Research team. At this point, two tanks will come into the village that you must destroy using the LAWs that are lying around the village. After this, you must rendezvous with Prophet by heading upriver and fighting against KPA patrols.

• This is the first level where you meet your first tank.

• During gameplay, players can go to where the cave is before the tank objective begins. At where Prophet leads you to the cave, the cave is blocked by rocks and their are no enemies and the enemies spawn and the caves are cleared after you destroy the tanks.
