Machinery

Machinery in crysis resembles everyday life, such as a tractor or a pickup truck. You can normally use machinery that would seriously be helpful, but the giant excavation equipment lying around everywhere is unusable. During certain parts in the game, the player must use machinery to complete an objective, such as using computers to gain information, or turning off jamming stations. The jamming stations can also be destroyed with an explosion, though. Nomad downloads information from the computers with his Nanosuit, which stores it. Also, as well as downloading information, the nanosuit can take a video of everything you can see, which is how nomad shows everyone the inside of the alien ship. Major Strickland makes a reference to this in the game. He says, "We need you alive, Nomad, we can't afford to lose the data on your suit." Nomad replies, "It feels good to be wanted, major."
