M26A1 Fragmentation Grenade
From Crysis Wiki
The M26A1 Frag Grenade is a grenade used by the KPA. It is a direct copy of the American M26A1 grenade. It is unknown if the United States uses it, but it is likely, as Psycho is equipped with a few and a SCAR when he sets off on his journey in Crysis: Warhead.

[edit] Tactics
Like all of the grenades, the Frag can be thrown farther in Strength mode than in the other modes. This makes it easier to toss a few grenades in a short amount of time at an enemy, no matter his distance from you. Be careful not to hold it for too long in Strength mode, or the grenade might either fly past your target or explode in mid-air.
The Frag grenade is primarily used to flush out hiding enemies. Because of how common trees and other items enemies can hide behind are, you'll be using these quite a bit (unless you like to have shootouts with enemies while they're behind cover).
Another use is to quickly take out a cluster of enemies, mainly when you're Cloaked. When you see a cluster of enemies, uncloak behind cover, toss a grenade, then recloak. You'll usually take out most of the group with one grenade.
An rarely-used way to utilize the weapon is to deny enemies the usage of shanty houses for cover. A grenade usually destroys most of a shanty house. The AI cannot navigate through piles of physics objects, but the player can. This gives you a major advantage, especially when shanty houses are the only sources of cover in an area.
[edit] Triva
- One of the earlier trailers for the game show that the Frag Grenade had to be pulled out like a weapon, then thrown. The final game has it so that you can throw a grenade while holding another weapon by holding the G key.
