[edit] Advantages

FY71 is one of the most abundant weapons in the game. Almost all KPA soldiers carry an FY71 -especially in the beginning of the game- so it is almost impossible to run out of ammo. FY71 is also the most customizable weapon in the whole game. It can be equipped with all attachments for the rifle, including the flashlight, silencer, laser aiming module, tactical attachment, incendiary ammo, under barrel grenade launcher, reflex sight, assault scope, and sniper scope. It has medium range and medium rate of fire, so it can be used as a bread-and-butter weapon of the game.

[edit] Incendiary Rounds

Incendiary Rounds are a powerful upgrade to the normal rounds of FY71. Each bullet results in a small explosion, damaging more than the normal round.

[edit] Disadvantages

Compared to its American counterpart, the FY71 is not very powerful and the user must use its rate of fire. It has 30 rounds per magazine compared to 40 rounds per magazine of SCAR.

  • In Crysis Warhead, parts of the FY71, such as the grip, are coloured tan.
  • FY71 model is based on AK-101.
