Alcatraz is the main protagonist in Crysis 2. He is a US Marine found by Prophet given the Nanosuit 2 in hopes of defeating the Ceph in New York City. Alcatraz is silent throughout the entire game, as his vocal chords were damaged during the events of In at the Deep End. He regains use some time after, however, and is able to describe the events of Crysis 2 to a CSIRA BlackBody Council during Crysis: Legion.

    Crytek: Console version of Crysis better than original PC game

    Crytek has revealed that thanks to its experience with developing Crysis 2 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, they've learned enough to drastically improve the original Crysis to the point at which the new console version is superior to the 2007 PC version that pushed the limits of users' hardware.

    Crysis 2, released March 22nd, 24th, and 25th in North America, Europe, and Australia respectively, won 5 best-of awards at the European Games Awards in Frankfurt, Germany on August 15th. Crysis 2 recieved awards for:
